Georgia native Matthew Kahler has been writing songs ever since he was a child, sharing a house with his large family in Albany, Georgia. In the early '90s Matthew made his way to Atlanta and became a part of the small group of singer songwriters who helped form the now legendary community of indie music, put together by Eddie Owen of Eddie's Attic fame. Matthew, Shawn Mullins, the Indigo Girls, Jennifer Nettles, Clay Cook, John Mayer, Andy Offutt Irwin and more started what we now think of as Georgia indie music at its finest. This indie music connection was also instrumental in forming a close bond between Matthew Kahler and Shawn Mullins which lead to a successful concert tour for the duo. Live, unleashed, off the cuff and out of control is a great way to describe the experience of a Matthew Kahler concert but included in the mix will always be beautiful sensitive tunes, highlighting his melodious voice, that will cause you to take note of this incredible performer, singer, songwriter.
